Tannis Slimmon has been an important part of the Ontario folk music community for many years. I recorded her and her partner Lewis Melville playing late at night on what turned out to be the last night of the Twisted Pines Festival. The room where we were talking quickly turned into a jam with many of the festival performers the legendary Garth Hudson on accordion. It wasn’t until several months later that I was able to sit down with her in her kitchen to record the rest of the interview. Enjoy
