I’ve got a bunch of upcoming gigs and volunteering at festivals which may also be prime podcasting opportunities.

Here’s a brief rundown.

June 15: Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life: Rotary Waterfront Part, Penetanguishene: 10:30 pm

June 16: North Simcoe Children’s Festival: Penetanguishene Museum 10:30-2:30 On stage at 12:30

June 16 and 17: Volunteering and podcasting at the Minesing Unplugged Festival.

June 23 and 24: Attending the Podcasters Across Borders convention in Kingston, Ontario.

July 4: Ontario Early Years Centre Fifth Anniversary Picnic: Join us for a family celebration at the Park to celebrate 5 years! We will have fun activities for families, snack, craft, circle time and story time. Sign up and join in the fun! 10:00-1:00 COUCHICHING PARK, ORILLIA

July 6: Ontario Early Years Centre Fifth Anniversary Picnic: Little Lake Park, Midland:  11am-1pm

July 7: Mariposa Folk Festival: Open Stage Volunteer– Children’s Music Workshop 11 am

July 8: Mariposa Folk Festival: Open Stage Volunteer– Children’s Music Workshop 3 pm

Good Vibes is an Open Stage every Thursday at 7:00pm at Mt. St. Louis Parish Hall, 4th Con and Mt.St. Louis Road, Mount St. Louis, Ontario.

Alyssa Wright

My guest is Alyssa Wright, a very talented singer, cellist and writer from Canninington (but soon moving to Orillia). Alyssa plays Cello in a chamber quartet, and she’s also in hot demand as an accompanist across folk, pop, jazz, classical and blues genres. She also has a business as a music publicist.

At the Twisted Pines Festival here in Midland on May 19, I got a chance to play the Six String Nation guitar and interview Jowi Taylor about the Six String Nation guitar for an upcoming podcast.
